DESCRIPTION:

• BSN is required or Master's degree is preferred.

LICENSE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED:

• Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Washington and ACLS certified.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

 Seven years recent and increasingly responsible experience in surgical services, including at least two years as a manager.

 The ideal candidate must be a good listener, a very strong communicator and have indepth knowledge and experience within surgical services. In addition, this individual must be a strong manager and have the ability to evaluate, collaborate and take initiative to advance departmental operations.

 Knowledge of a variety federal and state regulations, including CDC, FDA, ADA, OSHA, WISHA, AATB, DOH, SMDA, Chemical Hazards regulations.

The ideal candidate will have:

 knowledge of business processes and practices
 broad understanding of the hospital industry
 knowledge of PACU/Surgery/Anesthesia procedures
 knowledge of and ability to apply effective management and leadership techniques
 demonstrated skills in collaboration, teamwork and problem-solving to achieve goals
 demonstrated skills in verbal communication and listening
 demonstrated skills in providing excellent service to customers
 demonstrated skills in decision making, time management, and teaching
 demonstrative ability to be flexible and to create workable solutions to meet changes
 ability to work collaboratively with all departments
